Happy Friday

I made an iPod cozy to match the headband for a custom order.

But since that’s not very interesting… here are some pictures of Sam!

Doin’ some tummy time. It’s not his favorite activity.

We’re still teething and drooling a lot. I ordered a Baltic Amber teething necklace which should be here early next week. I’m curious to see if it makes any difference!

Have a great weekend!

My Boys!

Due to there being a lot of snow this week, we spent a lot of time just hanging out at home. Sam enjoyed getting his parents undivided attention.

Sam sure does make some entertaining faces!

I love seeing Sam play with his dad, it’s so great to see how much they love each other.

Sam was watching a football game from up there on his little perch on dad’s head. He loves sitting way up high!

He also likes to use his dads wrist as a teething toy. Yum.

This kid makes the best faces, right?

Just wanted to show off some pictures of my boys, I got pretty lucky, right?

Norwegian Sweet Baby Hat

Another custom hat order! For someone with a bit bigger of a head than Sam. (He’s got a tiny head, apparently)

Sam wasn’t thrilled about being used as a model for the third time this week.

Ah, look at those cheeks. I just want to gobble them up every day.

We’re still teething over here, which isn’t very fun, but hoping those teeth pop through soon so we can get over this crying slobberfest over here!

Vandal Helmet II

Another Vandal Helmet for a custom order!

Sam is a little under the weather (Again) but hey, we’re working through it.

We got lots and lots of snow this week! So we’ve been a little cooped up.

Sam seems to do better when we get out of the house, but it’s just been so very icky outside that we haven’t wanted to get bundled.

But I suppose that’s just what happens in the winter in Moscow.

And just a note, to those of you who are waiting on orders- I am a bit backed up with them, but they ARE getting worked on. Since Sam has been sick there hasn’t been as much time for knitting, so do not worry, they are coming, I promise!

Cousins!

Samuel got to meet his cousin Iris this week!

She’s only a couple weeks older than Sam!

Iris gave Sam this ball for Christmas, and they both love it!

And Grandma Gloria made him some bib-bandanas! So cute, right?

Sam tried to eat the ball, but Iris kept getting it right out from underneath him.

Uncle Phil got some double-baby-holding experience. It does take some skill!

Both of the babies look a little grumpy here, but it was past both of their bedtimes. But they were both pretty happy, I swear!

But we couldn’t for the life of us get a picture of them looking in the same direction. Hah!

Isn’t she just a little scrumptious nugget? I love her! So glad that she and Sam could meet!

Samuel’s Baptism

While we were in Tacoma for Christmas Samuel got baptized! We had it done at my home church, by Pastor Rayburn on Christmas Morning, and it was lovely.

He was baptized with water from the Jordan River!

And if any of you are curious about Sam’s baptismal gown, that was ALSO made by my mom! She’s so crafty (I wonder where I get it, right?) Here’s a close up:

She knows what I like, that woman!

I need to get Sam to make his pouty face so we can get him in his baptismal gown next to my picture of me in my baptismal gown.

Samuel’s Blanket!

My mom used to make these name blankets for kids that were born in our extended family. She hasn’t made them in a while, but I requested that one of Sam’s Christmas presents to be his very own name blankie, because I love them so much.

My mom picked the perfect colors of green that match his crib bedding!

Isn’t it beautiful? I really love it.

Chocolate Guinness Espresso Cake

I made a cake. And it was delicious.

It was my first time making a ganache frosting and it turned out pretty well, in my very humble opinion.

I made it for a church dinner that we attended last Friday night. The grandparents watched Sam so we could have some grownup time, and it was nice to get a little bit dressed up and eat dinner without bouncing a baby on my knee! But Sam did get to help make the cake, too, so he didn’t feel too left out.

Pebbles Vest

Here is Sam wearing his Pebble Vest!

It is just a smidge big for him right now, but it’s stretchy, so it should fit for a while!

Ah, and check out the awesome oval wooden buttons all down the side!

This face just cracks me up.

And he is teething right now, so everything (even his shirts) go straight into his mouth and get chewed on. We are both usually a little damp from all of the drool and spitup. But hey, there are worse things than being drooled on by a cute little munchkin baby.

Month 4

A few days late, but here are Sam’s monthly photos! Here’s a link to Month 1, and Month 2, and Month 3, in case you missed them! And  here is a link to a page that I’ll be updating every month with all of the pictures together, so you can see them side by side!

With Crocheted Pillow:

I can’t believe Sam is already 4 months old! So crazy to think that he is 1/3 of a year old. It’s been challenging, but he seems to be getting better and less colicky. He did have really bad croup this week, but we went to the doctor and got on some steroid medication. We were really relieved that he’s gotten so much better because they thought he was in the beginning stages of pneumonia, which in a 4 month old baby is really scary! But he is feeling a lot better now, although we are teething on top of all of that! He’s cutting a tooth and drooling a LOT, lots of chewing on his hands and sticking everything in sight right into his mouth!

Speaking of which… he’s up from his nap, so I’m off to rescue him from the swing!
