I always knew we would be great friends, Kitchen Aid. I knew it from the moment I laid eyes on you.
It’s been cookie time up in this apartment. Both husband and I have a fondness for frozen chocolate chip cookies, and Mrs. Jack’s recipe is just about the best thing… ever. (It’s in the church cookbook… sooo good)
We were having some people over for dinner last night, and Paul wanted to make pizza. So, I pulled out my fancy-dancy Artisan Bread book and whipped up some dough.
I was a little nervous, because if this dough didn’t work out, we didn’t really have a backup plan. (Frozen burrito’s or Mac ‘N Cheese?) But I was really impressed how easy it turned out to be.
My master pizza maker! (Oh isn’t he cute?)
The nearly finished product. Lots of meat on the every one elses. Lots of cheese and veggies on mine (yummm) *
Tada! The MOST delicious pizza I’ve ever had. No joke, this pizza definitly was better than any storebought/delivered pizza ever. So pull out those Artisan Bread books (Or go over to Kjerste’s and use hers, I hear she has A.C., too!) and make some yuuummy pizza. Delicious!
*This made our kitchen approx. 10,000 degrees.

So there are alot to choose from so I will just pick a few of my favorites:

Grilled chicken, grilled onions and green peppers in olive oil, fried on a tortilla with cheese, topped with fresh avocado and sour cream.
I think I gained 5 pounds last night.

So I haven’t been the most exciting blogger as of late, and for that I am sorry. Let’s face it, I’ve never been a good blogger. (I initially wrote that as ‘blooger’ and almost left it because it looks so funny) anyhow, but just a quick update, we’ve just been settling in to the house, getting more things hung up around the apartment, many trips to Bed, Bath and Beyond, spending ridiculous amounts of money at the supermarket (yikes.), getting caught in rainstorms in the country, and just generally having a great time.
Settling into my new job…ish. We’re still on the fence, but for now it’s alright. I’m not entirely sure that it is the place for me right now, it’s a little high stress and my stomach ulcers have decided to resurface (and I just don’t dig that) so we will see, but for now I am just excited about going home next weekend and FAMILY REUNION! (You’re all jealous, I know. Except.. I think that 3/4 of the people reading this blog will be there anyway. Oh well.) Can’t miss that orthodontis appointment on Monday morning, either.
Paul has been taking me on drives around the Palouse, seeing some of the sights. There are so many cool farms around this area! All the pictures in this post were from our excursion on Saturday to Uniontown and Colton, about 30 minutes away. We had lunch in a little corner saloon and shopped at some antique stores.
In love that in Uniontown the Fire Station, Library and Townhall are all in one building!

I had an incredibly domestic day yesterday and I just felt like bragging about it a little bit, since it was my first real burst of domesticity since the wedding. After I got home from work we took the laundry to the Laundromat, we started it in the washers, and went to grab some dinner, then we came back to switch it into the dryers. While they were drying we ran to the supermarket, picked up our miscellaneous things we needed. (We went in for 2 items. Came out $57 dollars poorer, but such is life) and got back to the Laundromat just as our dryers were done. (Side note: I love living in a town where everything is 2 minutes away from everything else.) Then we got home and actually folded our laundry right when we got home. (This usually does NOT happen. Ok, you got me. That NEVER happens.) Then I did all the dishes, (3 days worth. Don’t tell my mother) vacuumed the whole house (that’s not THAT huge of a feat, this place isn’t that big, but still), dusted, reorganized my kitchen cabinets (threw out lots of warped/old/gross/stained tupperware) made a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies (Janet Jack’s recipe. My NEW FAV, find it in the Church Cookbook under “Steve’s Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies”, I believe. Also, I got to use my awesome orange Kitchen-Aid for the first time, too. That was a treat), practiced my guitar and even had some time to hang out with my husband!
I call that a good day!

Our house! We are the second story.
The kitchen, which is tidier and more organized now.
Living room shelves. Oh yes.
The instrument windowseat.
Part of the bedroom
Teensy cute bathroom with a retarded shower
My little window garden!
So that is the apartment. I took the pictures last week, so things have been a little bit more organized and put together. But we’re totally in love with this apartment, it’s even better than I remembered it being! And now with all of our stuff in it, it’s even better!
