Batman and Green Bay

Some of my friends held a Secret Santa exchange, and knowing their son is a huge Batman fan and she is a big Green Bay Packers fan I decided to make them some hats for their Secret Santa gifts!

I really like the multi-colored pompom. I might be utilizing that some more!

DSC_7063Sam wasn’t thrilled that I was giving away the Batman hat- he liked the ears a lot. Might need to make him his own Batman hat, but he still prefers to wear his Minion Halloween hat everywhere we go and proudly tells everyone that he’s a “Minn-en”

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas tomorrow! I’ll be back after Christmas with some fun Christmas present unveiling!

PishPoshBaby Baby Jogger Sale

(Disclosure: I was compensated for this post by PishPoshBaby .)

I’ve shared my love for my Baby Jogger stroller before, it’s such a great stroller. Ours is the City Series, and we love it. Plenty of room for Sam to grow and still fit into it, it rolls like a dream and has plenty of pockets and storage for your purse, phone, shopping bags, etc.

Jogger

I simply cannot underestimate the value of having an awesome stroller. We had a cheap-o stroller before, and I couldn’t believe the difference that this made, especially on Moscow side-walks (lots of cracks and tree roots!).

PishPoshBaby is having a sale on their Baby Joggers right now, up to 35% off! And free shipping for orders over $75, and you just can’t beat that! I’ve definitely got my eye on this Baby Jogger Summit x3 Double Jogger for when the new baby comes in the spring.  (Isn’t it a beauty?)

They have some really great affordable options, too, like their Baby Jogger City Mini Single, which is only $189.99 right now, which is a steal.

Titus’ sweater

One of my best friends, Charissa, had a baby boy a few months ago. And I made this sweater a while ago, but kept forgetting to send it! (Pregnancy brain!) It’s finally made it to its destination, so I can finally share it here on the blog.

And that picture reminds me I should get some pictures of our Christmas decor before we leave for Tacoma!

Nuby Easy Clean Bib Review

Disclosure: As a Nuby Mommy Blogger, I was given these products in exchange for an honest review of them. All opinions are 100% my own.

Most of Sam’s bibs were too small for him, and didn’t quite cover much of his shirt, so dinner time was pretty messy. Especially now that it’s cold and we are eating a lot of soups, which is one of Sam’s favorite things to eat. I was thrilled when Nuby let me pick out several products to review, and instantly knew I was going to be trying out their Easy-Clean Bibs! It’s made of Waterproof Vinyl, which keeps their clothes dry and clean, and has an easy-release Velcro closure around the neck (Which I prefer over the ones that tie), and a crumb catching pocket so little bits don’t end up in his lap!

We were pretty impressed, as it kept his clothes dry, even while eating some tomato soup! If that isn’t the sign of a good bib, I don’t know what is!  Available at these retailers: Blain’s Farm & Fleet and JC Penney.

Yoda Doll

I had a request for a Yoda doll, that was a fun one to make- a but more complex than most of my knit creatures, but I found that crochet might work better for the texture of his face.

It was definitely a fun challenge, though!

I am way behind on posting projects, but a lot of them are Christmas gifts, and need to wait until after Christmas to post them, cuz I’m pretty sure my family would see it if I posted it on here!

We just got a fresh batch of snow here, Sam is not a big fan of the snow- He is pretty sure that it’s out to get him! He looks outside and says “Mama, the snow.. it’s ew.” Sometimes I agree, although it’s awfully pretty outside right now!

So instead we just hang out inside, listening to music, wearing our bear hat and talking on our albuterol phone.

(Yes, he is really convinced my empty old albuterol inhaler is a phone, also, my Chromebook is trying to tell me that albuterol is not a word, and that it should say Butterball instead. So that’s fun.)

Mario Stockings

I got a commissioned order for a set of four Mario themed stockings. I was really excited about making these, and I had so much fun making them.

Paul helped me out a lot by putting the characters onto knit graph paper for me, which was great, since apparently that is a skill I am greatly lacking in.

I am pretty pleased with how they turned out, and I am glad I finished them in time for Christmas. Now I am definitely motivated to make my family our own fun stockings, but the only problem is that there are just so many fun designs out there, I can’t chose one!

Don’t forget, my last post still has an open giveaway- open until Friday!

Simple Skyp Socks

I’m so behind in posting on projects! I made these in September for a friends husband. She found the pattern on Ravelry and asked me to make them, they are the Simple Skyp Socks. It is a fantastically fun and easy pattern! Great for beginner socks. And it looks a lot more complicated than it is, which is great, because they look impressive, right? Hah.

T
hese would make Christmas present for someone, if you still have room on your Knitting List for Christmas! The pattern works up pretty fast, and if you are working with really nice sock yarn it is such a joy to work with that you won’t want to put it down!

Elmo, Shark, Goldfish

I got a fun combo order for an Elmo doll, a hammerhead shark and a goldfish! I had a lot of fun coming up with an Elmo pattern!

DSC_6564I couldn’t find any really fuzzy bright red yarn that would work for Elmo, so I was hoping that the face would be “Elmo” enough to pass, as soon as Sam saw it he yelled out “It’s Elnemo!” (He pronounces it a little funny, hah!) so I think it works. What do you think?
