Baby Hat

So I got home from work on Thursday and hat the itching to make a baby hat for a certain young lady who’s having a baby girl here in the near future.

A funny little hat. I think I need to learn how to read a pattern, though, I really have no idea how. It might make hats a little less wonky, but after I added the earflaps and the ball on top it seemed to calm down a bit.

A good Saturday

So today I sat on the lake for two and a half hours, figured out how to knit an argyle, then went to the pool for another two hours. Got a little heatstricken, but sometimes that’s what Saturdays are for.

I need your input…

So I am doing a craft sale early in August. I don’t know where it’s at yet, so I’ll keep you posted. It’s going to be a collaboration thing with Heather, Charissa and Autumn.

There isn’t much time, and knitting takes time, as does crocheting, so I am thinking of whipping out some cute little purses and whatnot and stretching my sewing muscles a bit more than my knitting little fingers! Could be exciting, so I’ll keep you posted on the things that I am making, but also I’d love to get some input from you guys as to what cute little things I could make to sell that are easy and quick.

I’m going to give Grandma’s baby booties one more shot before I put the pattern away forever, but they’re mighty difficult and I can’t quite figure them out. Maybe some hats or socks, anyone else have any ideas? I was also thinking of selling some of my prints, like going and actually getting some of them framed or something, which could be kind of fun too, I don’t know that anyone would buy them, but it might be worth a shot.

Trying to keep warm

This is a blanket I’ve been working on for a while. I don’t know that I will finish it any time soon, but it’s taking a long time. I have three panels finished and I think I need 8 or so, with every other one being cable knitted. I love the color, but I’m not sure if it comes across in the pictures. It’s called Lemon Grass, but it’s more of a sage green. It’s very pretty. The yarn is, unfortunately, very expensive, so I buy it one skein at a time.

I like making a piece of string into something I wear

I made this hat using four double sided needles. It was the first time I’ve used them other than making socks. I think that it turned out ok. My second attempt was a bit smoother, but I don’t know where it has gone too. It is MIA, but most likely at the bottom of my knitting bag, which is currently a yarny mess.
