Bunny Hat

A bunny hat custom order, and as a bonus Sam was especially photogenic today.

Bahaha! Right? I know!

He looked straight up and the hat fell over his eyes. He started laughing! He thought his ‘blindfold’ was hilarious.

This kid makes the most ridiculous faces… but you all knew that already!

And I will leave you with these eyes that stare right into your very soul.

Sock Monkeys Everywhere!

Orders for Sock Monkey paraphernalia have been high recently, and instead of giving you 5 different blog posts for them, I will just show you the following pictures.

A Sock Monkey hat and diaper cover order! He was wiggling too much for me to get a clear shot! He likes to shake his booty!

I think he has a very Curious George look on his face in this one!

Check out that booty tooch! What! This kid is killing me with his moves!

Aaaaand, more Sock Monkey Hats!

And that’s the end of the Sock Monkey stash at our house… at least for now! We’ll see how many more orders crop up for these bad boys! I do love making them, they’re a lot of fun!

Oh, and Happy Valentines Day!

Sock Monkey Hat

Anooother Custom order! A Sock Monkey Hat! Sam was not quite as willing of a model this time.

Oh well! Just try to remember what the last Sock Monkey hat I made looked like…

Silly, silly boy.

Blurry, but happy!

Ah! Finally a good one!

Ok- back to knitting! Still trying so hard to catch up on my orders! So behind!

Green Checkered PomPom!

Sam is such a willing model these days! A custom order for a bright green Checkered Pompom- off to it’s new home far, far away.

Aaaand, that was the only “usable” picture we got. But the outtakes are quite hilarious. Would you like to see them?

He looks completely terrified in that last picture, but don’t worry, that’s just his new favorite face to make at me. What a little goof!

Ewok!

Another knit Ewok!

And, as always, anything within Sam’s reach goes STRAIGHT into his mouth.

This was Sam’s response when I asked him to smile:

Quickly followed by THIS face:

What a funny little man!

A Story, By Samuel the Third feat. Gerald the Second.

“I can’t shake the feeling that someone is following me….”

“Oh! Look, it’s Gerald!”

“I will be honest, though… you scared me quite a bit.”

“But I can see that you just want a friend!”

“But it’s too bad we have to send you off to another kid.”

“But that’s ok, I don’t need any competition for the camera.”

“So take one last look at this guy before we ship him off. “

Month 5

Took Sam’s Monthly photo’s yesterday! Here’s a link to Month 1, and Month 2Month 3,and Month 4 in case you missed them! And  here is a link to a page that I’ll be updating every month with all of the pictures together, so you can see them side by side!

There were so many good ones, I didn’t know which to choose! He’s gotten to be quite a ham once the camera is out, so it was a difficult task!

With his bear:

In his crib:

With crocheted pillow:

He is 5 months old, I can’t believe it! This little guy is busy, busy, busy. He always wants to be on the go. Sitting still is not his style! He is teething a lot, and so we got him an amber teething necklace- so far it’s been helping, at least he’s less drooly! We are getting better about sleeping at night… we just begin “sleep training” and weaned him from the swaddle, and we are down to about 2 or 3 awakenings at night, which is a huge HUGE improvement. Sam hasn’t been a very good sleeper, so this is a very welcome change.

We started him on some baby oatmeal, and he absolutely loves it. We all eat dinner together, him in his Bumbo and he gets his oatmeal while we are eating, because he had been getting very curious about our food, and even snatched some peas from my plate and swallowed them before I could get them out of his mouth! He loved it and wanted more, so I guess he likes peas!  He can roll around on the floor and reach for toys, he especially likes chewing on his rubber giraffe and eating his wooden toys. He basically will chew on anything, include my hands, Paul’s hoodie strings, cords, yarn, his overalls, whatever- it all goes straight into his mouth!

He is getting happier and happier the older he gets and he is truly the sweetest boy, and when he smiles he lights up a room. He loves the ladies, especially the older women who stop us when we are out walking and like to pinch his cheeks- he always grants them a big, gummy smile and will ‘cluck’ his tongue at them (his latest trick!)

He’s 13 1/2 pounds, and is about 23 or 24 inches tall (He was too squirmy at his last appointment to get an accurate measurement!) So he is still on the small side, but he’s so active it’s no wonder! We love our little Sam!

Penguin!

Oh, these little penguin guys are one of my favorites to knit up for people.

Sam was an obliging model again. Until he started trying to grab them and chew on them.

Look at those arms trying to swipe that penguin! Oh man, I love this kid.

Pinkie the Elephant

A custom order for a pink elephant with a purple “A” on it’s belly!

Sam was kind (and happy) enough to help me model some products!

I got a few good smiles!

Although, he did look a little sad when I told him he couldn’t keep it.

But then he told me that he didn’t want it anyway, since it was girly.

Can’t you just tell by that last picture that he’s got an attitude?
