Seven of my most favorite people in the world. Aren’t they cute?!

Today= Spring Cleaning
Wish us luck.
And we’re off!
I casted on this morning! Gotten 11 rows so far. The hardest part about this sweater is taking the time to ball up the yarn, because it comes in a big circle, and you’ve got to wind it all up without getting it into a huge tangled mess. I failed and it took me about 45 minutes to get the last 15 yards or so out of a huge tangle.
And just cuz he’s the cutest thing ever, Ezra:

And also, way to go Leanne, keep on knitting! She’s got a beautiful scarf started, go take a look and give her some knitting-love.
Also, Erika’s started her own scarf, too. Hopefully she’ll take some pictures and let us see her work!
If anyone else out there has decided to start knitting, let me know! I’d love to see what you’re working on!
Fickle fickle…
So, just as I was casting on for my new sweater I got cold feet. I looked at the pattern again, and again and again. I just couldn’t do it. I loved my yarn too much to waste it on a sweater that I didn’t love.
So, guess what. I’m making my own Shalom! I know it will seem that everyone has one these days, I am going to make a few modifications, it’s actually going to button all the way down, so it won’t look quite so… maternity on me. That’s not really the look I am going for quite yet.
So, I’m casting on tonight! I’ll keep you updated.
So excited.
The Shalom Sweater is in the home stretch! I am done with the body and already done with one sleeve! I am so excited to be done with this so I can work on more projects! (I have made myself not work on anything else but this, just because it HAS to be done for Erika’s Christmas present.)
But, also!!! There is a bunch more Cascade Yarn leftover, I may just need to make a little sompin’ sompin’ for myself. The problem being WHAT to make. So many ideas, so little time. Well, time and funds.
When I am grumpy…
Paul makes me watch this over and over until I am happy.
So much snow…
and alot more to come today and tomorrow.
Ouch!
So, I’ve got what the doc says is “stress-related frozen shoulder” which is really, REALLY painful and prevents me from doing fun stuff like knitting (and necessary things like dressing myself). So, sorry about there not being a WIP Wednesday yesterday, but it might be up to two weeks before it becomes unstiff and moveable again so knitting and crocheting are taking a back seat to sitting on the couch and watching Heroes. Which I guess is ok.
Paul and I are just a whole bunch of fun, what with his torn ligaments in his ankle and my frozen shoulder. We’re kind of pathetic right now.
That’s all. Happy Thursday and can’t wait for the weekend.
In Tacoma
I’m in Tacoma now! And I finally gave Ezra his present, which means that I can post a picture! But unfortunately I don’t have my camera. (oops) so I will try to steal Erika’s, and steal Ezra and get up a picture ASAP because it’s the best thing you ever saw. Seriously, I’m super happy with how it turned out. Ezra sure doesn’t care, but his momma likes it. And that’s the best.
Since everyone else did it…
Since everyone else posted beautiful kitchen sink pictures with their sparkling sinks, I thought I might show you guys the state of my kitchen this morning:

All washed and clean and now in the freezer to be enjoyed for the rest of the fall!
Also, while at a thrift store I found these curtains that just happened to fit my kitchen windows (actually there were 9 curtains in the package, but they all came together, so I just took the lot)

They match the color scheme of my kitchen alright (Who am I kidding, I don’t have a color scheme! Nothing in my house matches, but that’s just how I like it) Anyway, what do you guys think? Are they too ‘circusy’? Are they whimsical enough to be fun or just kind of annoying? I just can’t make up my mind about them, so I am relying on all of you to help me out. (They’re anything but beige, Erika!) Well, I’ve got 6 more of them if anyone wants a couple… I can’t image that I could possibly use all 9!
