Wow. This week has been very white. We’ve gotten snow dumped on us for the last 3 days, and supposed to get more throughout the rest of the week. I am so glad that I haven’t had to work the last few days, because my car is so bad in the snow and going out first thing in the morning is kind of scary!
This walk was just shoveled a few hours ago. There is also this huge pile of snow next to our front door, it’s about 3 1/2 feet tall. I feel like it’s never going to melt. Probably not until like April or so.
White… as far as the eye can see.
BUT, since it’s been so wet and snowy out, I’ve gotten a lot of work on my February Lady done!
The back. Also, I can’t seem to get a consistent color of this yarn in my pictures.
It’s more like the second picture, but not quite that “limey”. So.. yeah. The lighting stinks in my living room and I didn’t think about it enough to take it into the kitchen where I have good lighting. So, you get crappy pictures.
Also, I am debating on whether or not to add sleeves to it? I’ve seen both versions and I like them both, but man, I am really torn about this one! Any opinions? The sleeves would be done in the same lattice pattern as the lower body of the sweater.
It’s beautiful. My vote is without. But it really would look good either way.
NO SLEEVES.
So ever since you tore out your Shalom sleeves I’ve been wanting to do that with mine too. But I’ve never done anything like that so I’m kinda scared since you put so much work into it. I think I would wear it more. Also I still need to block it. Two years later. π
Oh, Rik, take them out! Then you might have enough yarn to make Ez a little sweater vest or something?
sleeves – love lacy sleeves
I think would look good both ways but it depends on how warm weather you want it to be. Really warm weather? No sleeves. Somewhat warm but could be worn with a little bit cooler weather? Sleeves. I personally think it looks beautiful the way it is now, without the sleeves π
Left the sleeves of mine and love it. Plan to do the same for Kaiya. π
