I made this sweater and cap set for Effie’s new buddy Daniel! They’re made with KnitPicks City Tweed, which is pretty much my favorite yarn of all time. I love the softness of it, perfect for sensitive little newborn skin.
I also found these buttons at Jo-Ann Fabrics, and they are just the perfect buttons for these colors. I am totally in love with them. I think Persephone needs a set, maybe with some pinks and greys?
where might I find these patterns and the yarn, knit picks city tweed? I am also interested in the baby sweater you posted May 10, 2010, Louella’s sweater. I know that is a long time ago, but it was listed as “related” to Daniel’s sweater and cap and Louella’s sweater is lovely! I have another grandchild coming and would love to do that pattern if it is a girl. 🙂
OK, the sweater and cap are darling, but the EYES are gorgeous! Better watch out, he is going to be one kickin’ lady-killer when he grows up!
Sibbi,
Are you on Ravelry? This is the pattern for the sweater here (Called the Puerperium Cardigan) It’s only available as a Ravelry download, and if you arent on Ravelry yet, you should be! It’s amazing!

And the yarn can be purchased at Knitpicks- heres the link to the City Tweed (DK Weight) http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/City_Tweed_DK_Yarn__D5420184.html It’s one of my favorite yarns of all time!
SoIreadthisbooktoday- Hah! It’s actually my daughter Persephone modeling the outfit for her buddy Daniel- but I do agree- her eyes are pretty amazing!
