Pattern:
Six skeins of Cascade 220 yarn (Or similar worsted weight yarn) I used Cascade Quatro, but it has sadly been discontinued! Approx 1320 yds total.
Size 8 needles (Long circulars work best for blankets, in my experience)

Cast on 200 stitches. Knit six rows garter stitch for the border. The rest of the blanket will go as follows:
Row 1: Knit 4 *Knit 3, Purl 1* (Repeat * until 4 stitches remain) Knit 4.
Row 2: Knit 4 *Knit 1, Purl 3* (Repeat * until 4 stitches remain) Knit 4.
Row 3: Knit 4 *Knit 3, Purl 1* (Repeat * until 4 stitches remain) Knit 4.
Row 4: Knit all the way across.
Row 5: Knit 5, *Purl 1, Knit 3* (Repeat * until 7 stitches remain) Purl 1, Knit 6.
Row 6: Knit 4, Purl 2, Knit 1 *Purl 3, K1* (Repeat * until 5 stitches remain) Knit 5.
Row 7: Knit 5 *Purl 1, Knit 3* (Repeat * until 7 stitches remain) Purl 1, Knit 6.
Row 8: Knit all the way across.

Repeat these 8 rows until your blanket is approx 1/2 inch shorter than desired length.
Knit 6 rows garter stitch for final border. Finished blanket will be approximately 3ft x 3ft, depending on your gauge while knitting.

Happy Knitting!
