It’s become somewhat of a tradition here at Knittybutton to do a Thanksgiving Giveaway, but I forgot to put it up until today! (Oops!) But without further ado, here is the annual Knittybutton Thanksgiving Giveaway! This year you could win yourself your very own, handknit, Stegosaurus hat!

*PSSST! Most people are not following the instructions! Make sure to leave ANOTHER comment if you share! If you dont leave more than one comment, you’ll only be entered for ONE entry!*

So you know the rules- you can enter by:

1. Leaving a comment on this post stating what size you’d like, and what color scheme (You can choose the color of the beanie and of the “spikes”- It can be anywhere from Newborn size to adult size! Your choice!)
2. Putting a link to it on your blog
3. Putting a link onto your Facebook
4. Tweet about it, leaving a link to this post (make sure to tag #knittybutton!)

So, you’ve got 4 chances to get entries into this Giveaway! It will be open until Friday, December 6th until 6:00 pm. This is an international giveaway (I’ve had a few people ask on prior giveaways) and I’d be happy to ship this anywhere in the world for you! Winner will be drawn via Random.org.

But remember, if you put it on your blog, please leave a second SEPARATE (or third, or fourth!) comment letting me know you’ve done so, so you can get your second (or third, or fourth!) entry. If you don’t leave another you WON’T get your second (or third, or forth!) entry, so make sure to do that!

Simple Skyp Socks

I’m so behind in posting on projects! I made these in September for a friends husband. She found the pattern on Ravelry and asked me to make them, they are the Simple Skyp Socks. It is a fantastically fun and easy pattern! Great for beginner socks. And it looks a lot more complicated than it is, which is great, because they look impressive, right? Hah.

hese would make Christmas present for someone, if you still have room on your Knitting List for Christmas! The pattern works up pretty fast, and if you are working with really nice sock yarn it is such a joy to work with that you won’t want to put it down!

Elmo, Shark, Goldfish

I got a fun combo order for an Elmo doll, a hammerhead shark and a goldfish! I had a lot of fun coming up with an Elmo pattern!

DSC_6564I couldn’t find any really fuzzy bright red yarn that would work for Elmo, so I was hoping that the face would be “Elmo” enough to pass, as soon as Sam saw it he yelled out “It’s Elnemo!” (He pronounces it a little funny, hah!) so I think it works. What do you think?

Twins!

My cousin Kjerste had twins a few weeks ago and I got to meet them when I visited my family 2 weeks ago. It was so great to be able to meet these beautiful little girls (Katja and Karena!) And they got some matching purple hats.

Are the girls beautiful? All wrapped up in hand knit blankets, too!

I’ve got several more projects to show you, as well. I’m just WAY behind on blogging due to the “Christmas rush”! Speaking of which, if you have any Christmas knits you’ve been wanting to order, make sure you do it soon, before I run out of time!

Exciting news!

Knittybutton was featured in the Canon Press Christmas Catalog! It’s on the bottom right hand corner of page 11!

They featured the Vandal Baby Helmet, and have a link through there to order a few other styles of hats, so if you are in the market for some Canon Press books, you can order a Knittybutton hat to go with it for your favorite baby!

It’s a…..

GIRL! And we couldn’t be more thrilled! Baby Girl Tong is growing nicely, and measuring a few weeks ahead (Sam did the same thing in utero!)

And oh my goodness, I have so much knitting to do for this little girlie! I am so excited to try out fun lacy sweaters, and cute beanies and cardigans. April it will still be chilly, so this little girl will definitely get some very tiny cute hand knit warm things to keep her nice and cozy!
