Help!

Ok, so we eat lots of onions and bell peppers in this house. We have fajita’s like twice a week. But my question is, what else is good to make with bell peppers?

Check out these colorful beauties I got at the Farmer’s Market this morning:

Seriously, we got orange, red, purple, green, yellow. So tasty, too, but IΒ  am just looking for another thing to do. Maybe stuffed peppers?

And just because these were pretty too… apples!

These babies are huge.

I am planning on making apple cobbler for Sabbath Lunch tomorrow. We’re having Paul’s mother join us for lunch. Making a pork loin roast. Mmmmmm.

  1. Adam LOVES stuffed peppers. There are a lot of recipes out there, but pretty much you make a hamburger style hash, cut the tops off and gut the peppers that have a stable bottom (so they can stand) fill the peppers with your hash, and bake. I can’t recall how hot and long, your house will smell really peppery, and good. Oh, also sprinkle with cheese.
I need to make that! Haven’t in a while, thanks for the reminder!

  2. Apple???

I looooooove love love this appetizer at Bahama Breeze that is goat cheese and it comes with roasted peppers and crackers and things but my favorite part is the goat cheese/pepper combo. I guess you’d have to be a goat cheese fan to like it though…

  3. We do a yummy recipe with sausage, penne and bell peppers. Saute the sausage until cooked through then add the peppers, cut in about 2 inch chunks. Add tomatoes to the mix too. Stir in some basil and sprinkle with cheese. It’s a perfect fall-ish kind of dish.

  4. My brother makes a really good chicken stir fry with bell peppers. Boneless chicken, onions, lots of spices (hot sauce, pepper) and then rice. You cook the chicken with all of this (preferably boneless chicken breast) that way the spices get soaked in the chicken. It’s awesome.

  5. Hmm, I’ve never been a huge fan of peppers, but these recipes sound so yummy! Maybe I’ll convert.

And apple cobbler! My favorite food ever. Kinda.
