We have a winner!
Hooray! I love making fishies (they might just be my very favorite thing to knit!)
So, this has been a nice week as far as pregnancy related stuff goes. I feel like I am getting some energy back, but it’s kind of hard to tell when I get so tired from work. When I get home my feet are really swollen and puffy, and if I put them up for a while after work it hurts to walk on them for the next 3-4 hours. I’m super excited about being 9 months pregnant in August. Oh boy, that is going to be fun-ville.
For your benefit I changed the picture to black and white, because the baby has done a number on my skin. It’s like college all over again. I wish I had the skin I had in highschool, so perfect and clear. Sigh… my hormones just went crazy 4 years later than everyone else’s, I guess. And I’ve already got bags under my eyes? Yeesh.
But aside from all of the complaining, my morning sickness has abated a LOT. It’s been so nice to enjoy my evenings again! I haven’t had any really awful episodes since about 13 weeks, so that’s been a huge blessing. Also, I finally (somewhat accidentally) told my manager at work, so it’s kind of nice now that they know, so if I am moving at a slightly slower pace than normal, that’s the reason why, not because I’m just a lazy bum. All in all, though, still feeling pretty good! Looking forward to the next 5 1/2 months!
Sorry it’s been quiet here. I’ve been working a lot, and that leaves less time for crafting, which leaves less time for actual blogging about the things that I craft. I got kind of used to being able to have a lot of free time, but I suppose now with the baby on the way I can get used to not having a lot of free time. Anyway, I’m working on a few custom projects for people, and they’re all pretty fun.
A simple brown sweater for a cute little Floridian girl.
A Lemon Curd Slouch for a cute Floridian momma,
And another Lemon Curd Slouch hat in teal for custom birthday gift for someone (Sorry, Erika, not your birthday gift)
In other news… it keeps on snowing. It flurried off and on throughout the day, but never really amounted to anything, but it is still slightly discouraging to see it snow in March.
Also, my belly is getting really big. I’m officially too big to button my jeans, although with the Bellabands I am able to still wear them and still be pretty comfortable. No one at work knows I am pregnant, so it’s kind of hilarious to watch them glance at my belly, but nobody ever asks, although it has got to be pretty obvious by now because I’ve talked about it with several friends who have come into the store and we’ve chatted about it pretty openly. I’m not really against anyone at work knowing, I just haven’t gotten around to telling them yet. I suppose it can’t be ignored much longer, though!
Happy Monday, I am off to figure out something to make for dinner. (I am hoping now that I am officially in my 2nd trimester my cooking skills will reappear? Who knows)
Sorry for my quietness on the blog this past week. It’s been a bit busier than normal. Also, I’ve been working a lot this week and that doesn’t leave too much time for blogging, unless various other aspects of my duties get neglected (grocery shopping, cleaning the house, etc)
But, onto more exciting news! I’m doing another Giveaway, here on the ol’ blog. I know how much you guys like them, so here we go!

We’ve had so much snow. Ridiculous amounts, really. It has snowed several inches every day for the last 8 days.
There’s a sidewalk right there… Paul just shoveled it less than an hour ago, and there’s already several inches accumulated on top of it, and it’s giving NO signs of slowing down. We’re supposed to get 3-6 more inches tonight.
As of early February we were having a really mild, nice winter. All that changed…
It is kind of pretty, but makes driving anywhere sort of difficult and scary (at least in my tiny car.) Not to mention having wet feet and the bottom 12 inches of your pants getting soaked just walking from your car across the parking lot into work.
I shouldn’t be complaining, it really is quite beautiful, and I am sure that come summer I’ll look back on all this snow with fondness… especially when I’m hugely pregnant and sweating because it’s 100 degrees outside.
